This call aims to promote journalistic writing with a broad and comprehensive approach to dance<\/strong>, stimulating the identification of different viewpoints and new perspectives and\u00a0 to contribute to a new and different vision of dance through writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deadline for applications:<\/strong> June 1st 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objectives of the Dance Rewrite call are to expand quality information about dance in Italy, a necessary tool for audience development, as well as to promote and support artists and programmers. It also aims to expand Campadidanza’s collaborations from different Italian and foreign cities.
Recipients<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call is open to individuals Under 35 (between 18 and 35 years old), professional journalists, published writers, PhD candidates, students, researchers, teachers, performers, and anyone who wishes to contribute to a new and different vision of dance through writing.
Candidates must be residents of the European Union and have an Italian tax code (codice fiscale).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The writing scope is: “Review.”
Write and review an Italian or foreign dance performance, seen live or on video, that was performed between September 2024 and May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The article must be written in Italian.
The piece must be unpublished and never previously published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner of “Dance Rewrite” will receive a cash prize of \u20ac300.
The AIRDanza Special Prize provides that the winner will receive a cash prize of \u20ac300, paid directly by AIRDanza – Italian Association for Dance Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the winner of the AIRDanza Special Prize and the call coincide, the author will receive a sum of \u20ac600.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning articles will be published on Campadidanza.it, disseminated through the magazine’s social channels and newsletter, and promoted on additional online news outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply:<\/strong>
Required Documentation and Submission Deadline June 1st 2025
Along with their article, each candidate must submit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– curriculum vitae;
– a personal close-up photo;
– a copy of their identification document;
– completed participation form and signed release for article publication, both attached to the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The required documentation must be sent to the email addresses info@campadidanza.it<\/a> and promozione@movimentodanza.org<\/a> by Sunday, June 1, 2025, indicating “Dance Rewrite Call” as the subject of the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The email message must include First and Last Name, age, and city of residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
